DEREK SHERINIAN: 'Molecular Heinosity' Record-Release Party Announced

A record-release party for keyboardist Derek Sherinian's (ex-DREAM THEATER, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) new solo album, entitled "Molecular Heinosity", will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. PST at Musicians Institute (1655 McCadden Place) in Hollywood, California.

The event is fee and open to the public. Derek will be there shaking hands and signing CDs.

Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY),Tony Franklin (THE FIRM, WHITESNAKE),Brian Tichy (BILLY IDOL, OZZY OSBOURNE),Virgil Donati and Rusty Cooley (OUTWORLD) are among the guest musicians who appear on "Molecular Heinosity".

As previously reported, Derek Sherinian is looking to start a new progressive metal band. He says, "I have the players in mind that I will be using [but] I will be searching high and low for a singer. Please email me at [email protected] with the subject title 'SINGER.' Please include a link to your MySpace site so I can hear you."

In other news, Sherinian has announced plans to release an anthology/best-of CD/DVD around Christmas time to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of his debut solo record, "Planet X".
